Transitional Housing (TH) is a program designed to provide short-term housing and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness to facilitate movement to independent living.  TH strategic uses within a community’s homelessness response system. Short-term housing with supportive services can be beneficial for some populations including but not limited to domestic violence survivors, youth, and individuals with substance use disorders. The resources below include information and community examples of TH best practices generally and specifically during a COVID-19 response.
